Very interesting, as for the concept of A.I. generated art, I would agree with you. I don't think it should be considered or compared to real art, as it is completely different, and does not take anywhere near the amount of time and effort real artists take to create an artwork. However, it is a still great tool for real artists to use as inspiration for their artworks. Great stuff!
Of course you have to be sure that the AI generated art doesn't encroach on human artists' license. Specifically because it takes a lot of dedicated time and cost for real artists to create their art, their usual customers may default to using AI art engines, especially because you can tell them to make art in the style of a certain artist. I would not differentiate AI art and human art too much, because in the end they can still be used for identical purposes, such as the background on a music video or the cover of a book. Really, the only limit for AI is the comprehension of the input and the creativity of the person who writes the input.
